Cats Love Mint

Cats actually do love a herb from the mint family.  Cats love Catnip.  It's a perennial plant, native to Europe, but now plentiful in the United States.
Cats Love a Mint!

Cat's, as many of you know can have interesting behavior when given the plant. Nepetalactone is the chemical that triggers the wild response in cats.  Even large exotic cats can be sensitive.

Although it is not known exactly why cats respond as they do to catnip, it's definitely a widespread response, and most do! Cat's like mint!

Marietta veterinarian+Julian Peckich DVM and his animal clinic +Marietta Vet Clinic welcome you and your cat or kitten to the pet clinic for well care or sick care.

Bring Your Child to Learn at the Vet Day

Marietta Vet Clinic and veterinarian +Julian Peckich DVM are happy to announce "Bring Your Child to Learn at the Vet Day" on Friday, September 13, 2013 from 9:00 to closing.  It is a special day where children come with their parents and pets to learn the importance of being a good steward to animals.  The veterinarian and staff will talk with the children about the needs of animals and how to co-exist with kindness.

Marietta vet clinic understands that pets require a tremendous amount of care, and children can learn to help parents properly take care of pets.  Feeding, bathing, and letting the dog outside can be a shared chore between everyone in the family.  It's the intent of Marietta Vet Clinic is to teach children age appropriate information on how to feed their pet, proper bathing and much more.  Proper food for a dog or cat and amounts make a difference in the quality of an animals quality of life.  "Some foods can even be dangerous to pets, so children need to know," says Ashley Peckich, Office Manager at the animal clinic

In addition to feeding, topics such playing, teasing and leaving a dog to rest will be discussed. Appropriate etiquette between dogs, cats and children is important for the happiness of both.

Marietta Vet Clinic offers affordable pet vaccinations, dog vaccinations, cat vaccinations, puppy vaccinations, kitten vaccinations and well care to the Marietta, Kennesaw, Dallas, Acworth and Powder Spring areas.  It would be the great pleasure of the clinic to welcome you, your children and your pets to the clinic.
